Modern Dollhouse Charity

We are thrilled to be a part of the top drawer designers enlisted to contribute to the inaugural Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA Dollhouse Project. This event and the auctioning of the incredible fantasy doll houses we are designing will benefit the hospital and the newly launched Children's Discovery and Innovation Institute, a new initiative to promote collaborative research and innovation in pediatric medicine. Their hope is to raise awareness in the community of the incredible resource we have in Mattel and to spread the word about all of the cutting edge pediatric treatment and research being done at the hospital.

There are 10 custom high end dollhouses in styles of architecture from New York Brownstone to Contemporary that will be available for sale via silent auction to benefit the UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute.

In the shot below is our fabulous dollhouse, designed by Richard Manion and Robert Meiklejohn of Richard Manion Architecture Inc, under construction by Dan Hershman of Richard Holz Inc. in coordination with Steve Miller of Miller Woodworking.

On Wednesday, April 17th, the Beverly Hills Hotel (Beverly Hills, CA) will host a Kaleidoscope Ball that features a designer dollhouse showcase during the cocktail hour of the event and the dollhouses will then be auctioned off. Check out the power team of designers participating in the showcase of dollhouse interiors:

    Wow! What a great cause, and I love the Malibu dollhouse. So modern and chic. Loving the combination of contemporary and traditional for the interiors on your moodboard. I hope this event raises a large amount for such a great cause! And it was great being a part of #OlioHop with such talented designers.
